The FORMATIONAL Competency

While maintaining its academic focus, faith-based teaching and learning is also formational in terms of personal, professional, moral, and spiritual growth for both educators and students. This course keeps the end in mind, providing ways teachers facilitate the formation of their students in a fresh, new, and deeper experience of Christian faith, while staying true to overall formational aims for students in a particular area of study.

1. This course includes a 1-hour video presentation, notetaking guide, a reference list, relevant readings, and reflection | discussion prompts.
2. While this course applies directly to those employed in Christian institutions, it can also be adapted and applied by Christian educators in other settings.
