The SCHOLARLY Competency 

This course calls Christian scholars to engage with relevant scholarship from the Christian faith and to consider it in dialogue with the scholarship of their own field of study or practice. This course provides ways to find and use faith-informed materials that will enrich the college classroom, demonstrating Christian faith as a worthy conversation partner in scholarly investigations. Examples and applications across many areas of study are presented and use of the university library is discussed and encouraged.

1. This course includes a 1-hour video presentation, notetaking guide, a reference list, relevant readings, and reflection | discussion prompts.
2. While this course applies directly to those employed in Christian institutions, it can also be adapted and applied by Christian educators in other settings.
