The INTELLECTUAL Competency: 

In many ways, intellectual formation is central to the work of any school.  If that is so, how can the Christian educator approach intellectual development from a distinctly Christian perspective?  Starting with the important (and sometimes troublesome) concept of worldview, this course recommends numerous approaches for helping students grow as thinkers, assisting them to reason Christianly about themes focused on in a particular class. An overview of general and special revelation is offered and a focus on intellectual virtues is included.

1. This course includes a 1-hour video presentation, notetaking guide, a reference list, relevant readings, and reflection | discussion prompts.
2. While this course applies directly to those employed in Christian institutions, it can also be adapted and applied by Christian educators in other settings.
