The PRACTICAL Competency:
Most student learning has the potential of being applied in their life and work, someday. This competency encourages teachers to build “doing” (and theological reflection on experience) into their faith-based approach to learning now, as part of the learning experience, not just as a future aspiration. Tools from the meta-discipline of discipline of Practical Theology are highlighted.
- This course includes a 1-hour video presentation, notetaking guide, a reference list, relevant readings, and reflection | discussion prompts.
- While this course applies directly to those employed in Christian institutions, it can also be adapted and applied by Christian educators in other settings.
